Upland Epoxy Floors is a concrete coating contractor based in Upland, CA, with 20+ years installing resinous floors across this part of the Inland Empire. We coat residential garages, commercial and industrial floors, pool decks and driveways, and we polish concrete where a coating is not the right answer.

Most of what decides whether a floor lasts happens before any color goes down, so that is where most of our attention goes. The grinding, the moisture reading and the repair work are the parts of a quote worth comparing between contractors.

Our Approach

Every floor starts with two measurements rather than a product recommendation. We read slab moisture with in-situ relative humidity probes to the ASTM F2170 method and write the number down before material is ordered, because moisture failure is the one thing almost every coating warranty excludes. Then we open the slab with diamond grinding to a named ICRI concrete surface profile rather than acid etching, so the primer keys into sound concrete instead of sitting on it.

The product is chosen against what the building is and what the law here allows on it. SCAQMD Rule 1113 sets separate volatile organic compound limits for floor coatings and industrial maintenance coatings and makes the two categories mutually exclusive, which is why we quote residential and commercial work from different product lines rather than carrying one range for both.

On the day, slab temperature and dew point get read before anything is mixed, since the same product runs a 60-minute pot life at 55 degrees and about 20 at 95, and an uninsulated inland slab in summer sits at the hot end of that. Crack, joint and spall repair is priced up front rather than discovered halfway through, joints are filled, honored or bridged as a deliberate decision, and you get a written cure schedule separating foot traffic, furniture and vehicle return instead of a single number.

One crew does the whole job, from grind to topcoat. Surface preparation is never subcontracted, so nobody inherits somebody else’s profile and nobody is guessing what the concrete looked like before the primer went on.

What We Do

We install epoxy garage floors, polyaspartic and polyurea coatings, metallic and flake systems, commercial and industrial resinous flooring, static-control floors, pool deck and driveway coatings, and we handle repair and recoating of floors that have already failed. Where a slab reads too wet to coat or the concrete is worth keeping as it is, polished concrete is often the better recommendation and we will say so.

If you want a floor looked at properly rather than priced over the phone, request a free estimate and we will come and read the slab first. You will get a written scope with the repair work priced into it rather than a number that moves once the grinder starts.
